Grounding Practices - Henry Weekes & Pachakuti

Album and Release Show w/ Eve Matin

Genezareth Kirche

2025 - 2026

Grounding Practices is the first collaborative album from multi-instrumentalists Henry Weekes (UK / Berlin) and Pachakuti (Colombia / Germany). The two met in the Berlin jazz community and played together across various bands and constellations before discovering a shared enthusiasm for ambient sound, spiritual jazz, drone and improvised music โ€” and a shared wish to make music for grounding and contemplation, for deep listening and dreaming.

In times of constant overstimulation, this record is an invitation to slow down and return to the present moment: a sonic and ambient meditation, a practice of attunement. The album weaves together tenor saxophone, keys, clarinet and effects with field recordings gathered in Brazil, Colombia and Germany โ€” ambient textures that root the music in particular places and particular airs.

A Bandcamp-only release only via Significant Others.
